Oktoberfest is celebrated in Bavaria at the end of September and the beginning of October (this year the festival runs from September 22nd - October 7th).

The Origins of Oktoberfest

Each year millions of visitors travel to Bavaria to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig (later dubbed 'Mad' King Ludwing to Princess Therese of Bavaria. Later, the festival became a celebration of Bavarian agriculture and horse racing. These days Oktoberfest is a celebration of life, German culture, beer and well...beer.
